We went to the Boathouse Restuarant down by the airport on Wednesday to celebrate Tuan's cousin Vu's birthday and to take advantage of their $11.99 lobster dinner special. Their offerings are not exactly my cup of tea but lobster for under $12 is such a good deal! The restaurant is decorated in old school "tiki tiki" San Diego style and has beautiful views of the surrounding bay and marina. It's a great place to go with big groups and very kid friendly. We ended dinner with two heaping orders of mud pie (complete with birthday sparklers!) and a creme brulee for Tuan.
