Adventuring in Big Sur, California

Tuan and I recently went on our first overnight trip without Parker. It was hard to leave our little man behind but we had such a great time visiting friends and hanging out sans baby. Here are a few pictures from our one night of glamping in Big Sur.

[This is what it looks like when your husband is annoyed that you keep wanting to stop to take pictures.]

[Buzzard's Roost Trail was a fun hike but the pay off was not worth it. We saw some people struggling through the climb in flip flops which was totally insane.]

[The view from the top of Buzzard's Roost. Whomp whomp.]

[Quite possibly the greatest picture I've ever taken of Tuan. My instructions were to be creepy. He nailed it.]

[After a day of hiking, we started a fire in front of our glamping site and made smores. Glamping under red woods was amazing. I hope we can do it again soon.]

Anniversary Celebration California Road Trip

Tomorrow we leave for our first adults only trip since Parker's arrival. We will be driving from San Diego to San Francisco with stops in San Mateo, Sunol, Big Sur and Cambria. Follow me on instagram @parkerproject to follow our adventure! I guarantee there will be lots of food pics.

Tiny Whales SS15 Tee Collection

The "winter storm," aka 3 days of rain, that just passed through has me daydreaming about summer. I can't wait for the longer days and our trip to Cabo. Adding fuel to the fire is the fact that I stumbled across photos of Tiny Whales SS15 collection on Instagram. It makes you want to put your shortest shorts on and head to the beach, no? I want it all. These shirts would pair perfectly with the Sam Shorts from Cotton On Kids.

[Our first time having brunch at Cafe Chloe - Review to follow.]

[I ran in the San Diego Hot Chocolate Run and Tuan made these amazing shirts to support me.]

[Big boy was offered crayons for the first time at Snooze. Crayon eating ensued.]

[Went to OC to celebrates my sisters' birthdays. Ended the day at the Garden Grove Park with the whole family. More photos to follow.]

Brunch at The Mission

It's my last weekend before going back to work! So let's make it a good one and spend as much time doing fun stuff with Parker and Tuan as possible. First stop, breakfast/brunch at The Mission in North Park. A 30 minute wait for a 3 person table wasn't bad. They were really nice about accommodating our giant stroller too.

[The menu has a surprisingly large variety of vegetarian options]

[What should we order, Dad?]

[Wanna split some French toast?]

[Extra foamy mocha]

[Roast beef hash]

[The french toast was good but it was too much for one person to eat alone]
