San Diego: Touch A Truck 2016

san diego, touch a truck, cancer fundraiser, san diego local

There is an event coming up that my truck loving kid is going to lose his mind over: Touch A Truck. Touch A Truck is a fundraiser for kids cancer put on by the Max's Ring of Fire Foundation. I've never been to this event before but we are definitely planning on taking Parker this year.

If he gets this excited over a dirty excavator parked in front of our neighbors house he is going to be over the moon when he sees all the constructions vehicles, emergency vehicles, military vehicles and cars that will be at Touch A Truck. We hope to see you there!

SoCal Candy Buy Backs

Such a great way to unload the mounds of candy you will have at your house after trick or treating! Good tip Red Tricycle.

Once trick-or-treating ends, do you look at that big pile of Halloween candy and wonder how you’re going to keep your little one (or yourself) from eating it all? We thought so! For families looking for an alternative to sugar and want to teach their kiddos about doing something positive for the community, consider participating in the Candy Buy Back Program. Participating dentists and orthodontists throughout Southern California will purchase unopened candy from trick-or-treaters for $1 per pound. The dentists then coordinate with shippers to send the candy to Operation Gratitude, which sends thousands of pounds of candy to the troops overseas.
